Roberti explores areas of reproductive policy, including bill introductions of regulatory abortion measures across states. She looks specifically at the language and framing of these bills to understand how lawmakers are using and reinforcing gendered norms into law. As an instructor, Roberti teaches courses in gender, law, and public policy, as well, as American politics. She seeks to engage students in the act of analyzing policy, and becoming more informed and involved in U.S. politics and the policy-making process.
Presents the findings of a comprehensive study of state informed consent materials regarding embryological and fetal development. Finds that nearly one-third of the informed consent information is medically inaccurate, that inaccurate information is concentrated primarily in the earlier weeks of pregnancy and is clustered around particular body systems.
