Jeffrey creates trainings for researchers who want to learn how to use their expertise to inform policy. He also connects policymakers, civic leaders, and organizations to researchers to improve public policy and strengthen democracy.
Before joining SSN, Jeffrey served for two years as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines. In the Peace Corps, Jeffrey taught English and Math to out of school youth and helped create programs to teach young people to help themselves. For example, Jeffrey helped Filipino teenagers in Manila learn to assess their needs and take action. The youth realized that abandoned car tires scattered around their community had become dangerous because the tires collected rainwater and were a breeding ground for mosquitoes that carry dengue fever. Soon after, the youth began to remove the tires.
Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Thomas Jefferson University and a Masters of Social Work from Boston College.
