The Northwest SSN network combines scholars in the Pacific Northwest working on policy-relevant projects.  Members are particularly focused on reforming the criminal justice system, improving health outcomes for the disadvantaged, and expanding efforts to document society’s most vulnerable populations.  Other areas of expertise include the consequences of labor union decline, patterns of voter turnout in U.S. elections, and current trends in race and ethnic inequality in the economy.
