Get Covered, Tennessee! Hosted by the Tennessee SSN Chapter

Recent changes to the enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act have made it more challenging to get coverage. The Tennessee SSN chapter is hosting an event to help the public make informed choices about the health care that is best and affordable for themselves and their family.

Though the Affordable Care Act is the law of the land,  the Trump administration terminated $23 million worth of contracts with companies that help people sign up for coverage. They also cut 90% of the advertising budget and half the funding for leaders who help consumers navigate their insurance options. Furthermore, the enrollment period has been shortened to just 45 days.

In an event co-sponsored by the Tennessee SSN chapter and Get Covered Tennessee, SSN members Carolyn Heinrich and Gilbert Gonzales, along with Sayeh Nikpay will discuss enrollment options and the importance of getting covered.
