Johnson's research and consulting work involves survey writing and administration, and data collection and analysis. Her work focuses on voting behavior in the U.S., primary and general elections, electoral outcomes, election administration and policy, and voter identification laws. Johnson has worked with both the Bernalillo County Clerk’s office and County Commissioners, providing data analysis and research findings to inform their policymaking and implementation of funding policies and election administration.
Discusses a survey instrument designed to inform us about the health, childcare arrangements, breastfeeding access, health insurance coverage, and access to healthcare of New Mexican children and their families.
Identifies the ways in which government entities have developed and dedicated funding streams to fund mental health services, distributed revenues to providers, and developed governmental structures to administer the collection and distribution of those revenues.
Analyzes and evaluates the administration of elections, quality of polling locations, poll worker attitudes, voter attitudes and experiences. Implements research from the 2014 Bernalillo County Poll Worker and Voter surveys, and the 2014 Bernalillo County Election Observation Reports.
